K-12 Program
With our world class scientists and facilities, Berkeley Lab is uniquely positioned to support science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education for Bay Area students. Our K-12 programs reach out, particularly to underserved communities, with mentoring, internships, and other STEM opportunities. Donor funds enable us to provide student stipends, tools, supplies, and transportation to ensure that lower income young people can fully participate.
Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association (BLPA)
A volunteer organization to enrich postdocs’ scientific careers through social and professional events and activities, BLPA provides new postdocs a welcoming start at Berkeley Lab and peer-to-peer support. It also serves an important scientific purpose by bringing together early career scientists from diverse disciplines to collaborate and share ideas informally.

Donors to the lab support chairs and fellowships for our researchers, help build facilities to enable cutting-edge science, contribute equipment that moves discovery forward, and provide vital seed funding for innovative programs. Berkeley Lab Foundation welcomes meeting with you to find ways to help you realize your philanthropic goals. Our staff can guide you in how to include Berkeley Lab in your will; donating stock or property; or making a memorial or tribute gift in the name of someone you wish to honor. There are also ways your tax-deductible contributions can support Berkeley Lab right now by endowing chairs; nurturing a welcoming, diverse and inclusive work place; and supporting fellowships that enable graduate students to gain valuable work experience at Berkeley Lab.
